I enjoy everything outdoors, including biking, running, camping, hiking, snorkeling and diving, etc. In 2011, I decided to shift my career from running businesses to being more environmentally focused. I started a volunteer organization to clean up trash and other human refuse from urban creeks and riparian zones, and shortly thereafter enrolled in the Environmental Science program at The University of Texas at Austin. In spring of 2016 I was chosen to participate in a 6-month biological sciences program for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge. I returned to the states in the summer to work with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service on monarch butterfly conservation efforts. In May 2017 I was chosen to participate in commercial honeybee research with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in North Dakota.
I currently reside in Austin, Texas.
